Reginae Carter is reportedly in talks to join Bravo’s upcoming reality series “Next Gen Atlanta,” potentially bringing Lil Wayne and Toya Johnson’s daughter back to television alongside other familiar faces from Atlanta’s entertainment families.
Reginae Carter and Kandi Burruss’ daughter, Riley Burruss, are discussing possible roles on the new show. Sources familiar with the situation told the outlet that negotiations are underway, but neither has finalized a deal. Bravo has not officially announced any cast members.
The casting news surfaced Friday, October 23, the same day Bravo announced that “Next Gen Atlanta,” also referred to as “Next Gen ATL,” had officially received a series greenlight.
For Reginae, joining the show would mark another chapter in a reality television career that began long before she reached adulthood. The 27-year-old has spent years building her identity outside of her famous parents while pursuing acting, entertainment, and business opportunities.
Reginae Carter previously appeared on “Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta” and “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle.” She also starred alongside her mother, Toya Johnson, in WE tv’s “Toya & Reginae,” which premiered in 2023 and followed their personal lives, family relationships, and individual careers.
WE tv described the mother and daughter as longtime public figures whose experiences extended far beyond what audiences saw on social media. Their series gave viewers a closer look at Reginae navigating adulthood while maintaining a close relationship with her mother.
A potential move to Bravo would place Reginae in a different reality television environment, surrounded by other young adults managing their own careers, relationships, and family expectations. Unlike her previous series, which focused heavily on her family, Next Gen Atlanta would feature her as part of a larger social circle.
Riley Burruss is another major name reportedly being considered. TMZ reports that Riley, who currently stars on Bravo’s “Next Gen NYC,” is discussing a possible transition from the New York series to help launch the Atlanta spinoff.
Riley already has an established history with Bravo through her mother, Kandi Burruss, who spent 14 seasons on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Viewers watched Riley grow up on the franchise before she eventually joined “Next Gen NYC” as an adult.
According to Bravo’s coverage of the series, Riley graduated from New York University in 2024 with a degree in music business. She has since explored opportunities in the music industry, including DJing, while continuing to consider a future in entertainment law.
Her potential involvement in “Next Gen Atlanta” could connect the two shows, although Bravo has not confirmed whether she would leave “Next Gen NYC,” appear on both programs, or participate in another capacity.
Reginae Carter and Riley Burruss are not the only recognizable names reportedly being discussed for the new cast.
Noelle Robinson, daughter of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Bailey, is another possible addition. Noelle grew up appearing on Bravo alongside her mother before pursuing modeling and other creative opportunities.
Her Atlanta connection has recently become stronger. In June 2026, Bravo reported that Noelle had moved back to Atlanta after spending several years living in Los Angeles. Cynthia shared that her daughter was settling into life closer to family while continuing to pursue her own interests.
Another possible cast member comes from Bravo’s “Married to Medicine” franchise. One of Dr. Simone Whitmore’s sons is also being considered for “Next Gen Atlanta.”
Simone and her husband, Cecil Whitmore, have two sons, Michael and Miles, who have appeared in their family’s storylines on “Married to Medicine.”
Bravo’s official announcement describes “Next Gen Atlanta” as a series following young personalities making their mark in a city shaped by hip hop, sports, and entertainment. The show will explore friendships, career ambitions, and family dynamics, featuring both individuals with famous connections and others building their names independently.
The franchise originated with “Next Gen NYC,” which premiered in 2025 and features young adults including Gia Giudice, Ariana Biermann, Brooks Marks, and Riley Burruss. Bravo also confirmed Friday that the New York series has been renewed for a third season.
