The legal fight between Usher and the people suing him continues. According to documents obtained by The Blast, the man identified in court papers as John Doe says Usher has refused to turn over private medical records in the case.
John Doe alleges that he had a sexual encounter with Usher at a Los Angeles spa and claims the singer did not disclose a health condition before the encounter. He has joined a lawsuit alongside Jane Doe and a woman named Quantasia, who spoke publicly about her own allegations at a press conference. The suit seeks unspecified damages. These are allegations in a civil case, and none of them have been proven in court.
In his new motion, John Doe reportedly says he has not received the records he is asking for, including Usher’s confidential medical records and any documents about past settlements. The Blast reports that Usher has tried to use doctor patient privilege to keep those records private.
Usher has also pushed back against the lawsuit, and The Blast reports he accused the plaintiff of harassment in the dispute over the documents.
