Virginia Giuffre’s newly released memoir lays out harrowing details of her alleged abuse at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Prince Andrew.
Giuffre writes that she was trafficked by Epstein and forced to have sex with Prince Andrew on three occasions, including one she describes as an “orgy” on Epstein’s private island.
“Epstein, Andy, and approximately eight other young girls and I had sex together,” she says, adding that the other girls “appeared to be under the age of 18 and didn’t really speak English.” Epstein allegedly joked about their inability to communicate, calling them “the easiest girls to get along with.”
Giuffre recalls feeling “revolted” when she later saw the infamous 2011 photo of Epstein and Prince Andrew walking together in New York’s Central Park.
“I was amazed that a member of the Royal Family would be stupid enough to appear in public with Epstein,” she writes. Prince Andrew has denied all allegations and settled a civil lawsuit with Giuffre in 2022 without admitting wrongdoing.
The memoir also recounts a disturbing episode shortly after the alleged island encounter, when Giuffre experienced severe abdominal pain. She says Epstein told her she had “suffered a miscarriage,” noting, “Epstein never wore a condom. Neither did the men he and Maxwell trafficked me to.”
Giuffre’s story paints a devastating picture of life under Epstein’s control. She says he developed a fascination with sadomasochism, using “whips and restraints and other instruments of torture.” The pain, she writes, was so unbearable she prayed to “black out.”
Giuffre also details how Maxwell first approached her at the Mar-a-Lago spa when she was a teenager, promising work as a masseuse but instead introducing her to Epstein. Maxwell, she says, later facilitated her meeting with Prince Andrew, calling it a “special day” to meet a “handsome prince.”
Even decades later, Giuffre says, “the memories of what Epstein put me through torture me.”
Epstein reportedly took his own life on August 10th, 2019, while behind bars. Giuffre also died by suicide on April 25th, 2025.
