Yung Miami is making it clear that she has a type, and apparently, a man wearing black Air Force 1s might have a better chance of getting her attention than someone dressed in designer clothes.

During a conversation on the “Pour Minds” podcast, the former City Girls rapper shared her attraction to men with a street image, explaining that she prefers guys who embrace a traditionally masculine style.“[Expletive] are bad [expletive] these days. That’s why I like real [expletive] like gangsters. I like a [expletive] that’s in the field; he wears like black forces….I like a [expletive] that dress like a [expletive].”
Her comments offered another glimpse into Yung Miami’s dating preferences, particularly when it comes to appearance and the energy she finds attractive.
For Miami, whose real name is Caresha Brownlee, the appeal appears to be a man who carries himself with a certain toughness rather than someone overly concerned with fashion trends. Her reference to black Air Force 1s also taps into a familiar stereotype surrounding the sneakers and their association with street culture.
The conversation arrives after years of public interest in her romantic life, including relationships with some well-known names in hip hop.
Before her highly publicized romance with Sean “Diddy” Combs, Miami dated producer Southside, best known for his work with 808 Mafia. The two share a daughter, Summer, who was born in 2019.
According to XXL’s 2022 interview with Miami, she acknowledged that their relationship as parents initially experienced difficulties. However, she explained that they eventually learned to put their personal differences aside for their daughter.
Miami also shares a son, Jai, with her former boyfriend Jai Wiggins, who died in June 2020 following a shooting. Miami has spoken openly about the emotional impact of his death and the challenges of helping their son process losing his father.
Her most widely discussed relationship was with Combs. The two were first romantically linked in 2021 and publicly confirmed they were dating in 2022.
During an XXL interview that year, Miami explained that their relationship was not exclusive and that both were free to see other people.
By 2023, she had publicly described herself as single, although the two continued making appearances together.
In August 2024, Miami addressed their relationship again during an episode of “Caresha Please,” explaining that her personal experiences with Combs differed from the allegations other women had made against him.
More recently, Miami has been vocal about her expectations for a future partner.
During a February 2026 appearance on Uproxx’s Sound Check, she said she wanted a financially successful, God fearing man who could provide for her. She also expressed interest in someone worth at least $100 million, although she later clarified on “The Breakfast Club” that the figure was not a literal requirement.

I LIKE BOWLING SHOES.
