Tia Kemp and 50 Cent

Tia Kemp has answered 50 Cent’s $6 million lawsuit with a chess board. Rick Ross’ ex shared a two panel graphic titled “The Reverse Move,” casting herself and the rapper as opponents across a black and gold board, days after a Florida judge ordered her to stay away from his 14 year old son, Sire.

In the artwork, Tia sits in a wide brim black hat and sheer black gloves behind a row of gold pieces. 50 leans over the black pieces in a Yankees fitted, one hand on his king. The tagline reads “Same game. Different result. This time.” Her pieces are labeled Boundaries, Legal Protection, Facts and Evidence, Peace Focus Purpose, Strategic Silence and Brand Growth. His carry labels including Media Spin, Legal Threats, Public Provocation, Narrative Distortion and Audience Manipulation.

The second panel spells it out. Under “His Possible Next Moves,” Tia Kemp lists eight things she expects from 50, including provoking another public reaction, using hip hop blogs and influencers to keep the story alive, expanding lawsuits and subpoenas, attacking her character, parenting and mental health, and turning supporters against her, “including the disability community.” She also predicts he will play the victim and “monetize the chaos” through content, music or business deals.

Across from it sits “Tia’s Winning Counter Moves.” That list tells her to skip emotional reactions and public arguments, let her lawyers handle communication, stay focused on inclusion, autism awareness and education, and turn the attention into a new brand, partnerships and products. She signed the graphic with a quote: “You can’t control my mind. You can only choose your next move.”

The autism awareness message arrives in the middle of a case built around autism. On October 26, 50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, filed a federal defamation lawsuit in Los Angeles seeking at least $6 million from Tia Kemp. His attorneys accuse her of claiming online that Sire is autistic because of conduct by his mother, Daphne Joy, during pregnancy, and of posting a photo of the teen beside a sexually explicit image of a woman the filing suggests is Joy. The suit says she targeted Sire in four posts over six days, including an October 25 interview where she called him “slow” and said he “can’t talk.” No verified medical information about Sire has surfaced.

“But autism is not shameful,” 50’s lawyers wrote in the complaint.

A Miami-Dade judge also granted a temporary injunction ordering Tia to stay at least 500 feet from Sire and to have no contact with him, directly or through social media. The order also requires her to surrender any firearms once she is served.

The graphic’s advice to stay calm and let the lawyers talk is a change from how Tia has handled the case so far. When 50’s attorneys sent her a cease and desist letter, she posted part of it online with a profane caption. After the lawsuit was filed, she went on TikTok calling him “15 Cent,” then posted a mock GoFundMe asking for $6 million. After the restraining order, she called him a rat.

50 has framed the fight as bullying a child. “It’s not ok to bully minors on line, kids have killed them selves over things people have said about them,” he wrote after filing. On Instagram, he shouted out several autism organizations and said he has friends raising children on the spectrum.

The feud between Tia Kemp and 50 Cent started after he weighed in on a reported assault involving her and Rick Ross’ 21 year old son in Daytona Beach, adding another chapter to his long running beef with Ross.
