Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis has been named as a suspect in a police report after a woman said he assaulted her at a DC nightclub.
According to TMZ, the woman told police she was at Josephine nightclub when Davis approached her aggressively and grabbed her, so she threw a drink on him. She claims Davis threw a drink back on her a short time later, then hit her in the lip with an object. Sources at the club told TMZ she said it was a champagne bottle.
Law enforcement sources say the club has surveillance cameras that captured the confrontation, and police plan to review the footage.
No charges have been filed, and Davis was expected to talk to police to give his side. The Redskins and Davis’ agent have not commented.
The footage should tell the real story. Until then, it’s her word against his.
