Bravo is moving forward with its delayed spinoff, “Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition,” officially setting a new air date for Dr. Wendy Osefo’s episode after days of uncertainty following her fraud arrest. “The Real Housewives of Potomac” star’s installment will now premiere Sunday, November 9th at 9 p.m. ET.
The episode was originally supposed to open the series on October 14th, but was quietly pulled when news broke of Osefo’s arrest. In her upcoming appearance, Osefo trades places with free-spirited Floridian Alethea Shapiro, who runs her home without rules or schedules. The episode promises plenty of contrast between Osefo’s structured Maryland household and Shapiro’s carefree lifestyle.
In the meantime, the show will kick off with “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Angie Katsanevas on October 21st, followed by Melissa Gorga on October 28th and Emily Simpson on November 4th.
Osefo’s legal issues continue to cast a shadow over her return to television. She and her husband, Eddie, were charged with multiple felonies for allegedly filing false insurance claims worth nearly half a million dollars after reporting a fake burglary.
Despite the controversy, Osefo recently thanked her supporters, posting, “And through it all, GOD remains faithful. Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time. We are forever grateful.”
