Rapper Westside Gunn has officially called it quits with WWE, ending years of loyalty after the company allegedly sent him a cease-and-desist letter and kicked him out of a live show.

The Buffalo performer, who has long shown love for professional wrestling through his music and fashion, opened up on social media about his disappointment with the brand he grew up idolizing. He said that despite years of paying his own way to attend shows and sitting front row at nearly every major event, WWE treated him like he didn’t matter.

“For years, I mean nobody with two feet has spent the amount of money I have supporting and pushing a brand I’ve loved since I could remember. I sat front row at every big show literally,” Gunn wrote in a lengthy social media post. He went on to say that he helped make wrestling look cool again in hip-hop culture when people once thought it was corny.

But things took a turn when WWE allegedly threatened his catalog. According to Gunn, the company demanded that he remove wrestling samples, references, and imagery from his songs or risk having his entire catalog destroyed. What started as a genuine tribute to the sport quickly became a legal battle.

The situation reportedly came to a head after Gunn put up a billboard honoring wrestling legends Ted DiBiase and the late Virgil. Instead of celebrating the gesture, WWE issued him a cease-and-desist order, claiming he didn’t have permission to use their branding.

Shortly after, Gunn says he was kicked out of Monday Night Raw in his own hometown of Buffalo. Despite paying thousands for front-row seats, travel, and a hotel stay, he was escorted out just minutes after the show began.

“Monday Night Raw starts at 8 p.m. I was kicked out by 8:03 after spending $5K for a seat plus travel, hotel, etc., in my own city for absolutely nothing. No lie, the kid in me heart broke that day,” he said.

Gunn explained that he tried to handle the issue privately but felt the company’s leadership wasn’t interested in finding common ground. He suggested that jealousy and bias played a role, saying someone inside the company “hates seeing a young Black successful entrepreneur that could afford those seats.”

After the incident, Gunn made it clear that he’s done supporting WWE in any capacity.

“You don’t have to worry about me pushing that product over there again,” he said, adding that he’ll continue to show love only to those who show love back.

Before I even say this just know GOD IS THE GREATEST 🤲🏽
