Kris Humphries is being sued by a woman who claims he gave her herpes.
According to the lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and first reported by TMZ, the woman met the Brooklyn Nets forward at a cafe in Los Angeles in August 2010. They flirted, exchanged numbers and met up again that night at a club on the Sunset Strip. She says they went back to his hotel and had sex, and that he did not wear a condom for part of it.
She claims she started having symptoms about a week later and was diagnosed with herpes by a doctor. She is suing Humphries for sexual battery and unspecified damages. She claims he knew he had herpes and didn’t tell her.
Humphries has not commented on the lawsuit.
The timing could not be worse for him. Humphries is still in the middle of his messy divorce from Kim Kardashian, and he’s fighting to have their 72 day marriage annulled on the grounds of fraud. Now his name is attached to a very different kind of court case.
These are only claims in a lawsuit for now, and it will be up to a court to sort out what happened.
