Diddy Reportedly Rushed Out of Federal Prison After Medical Emergency Involving Head Injury

Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly suffered a head injury over the weekend that required emergency medical attention outside the federal prison where he is serving his sentence.

According to TMZ’s October 12 report, the Bad Boy Records founder was transported from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey early Saturday morning, October 10, following an undisclosed incident that left him needing treatment.

Sources at the correctional facility told TMZ that an ambulance departed the prison grounds around 1 a.m. However, the outlet could not confirm whether Diddy was taken to a nearby hospital or another medical facility.

Despite the emergency response, the reported injury did not appear to be life-threatening. Sources said Diddy was conscious and speaking when he returned to the facility before sunrise that same morning.

What caused the injury remains a mystery. Although TMZ’s headline referenced a fall, its reporting did not establish exactly how the music executive hurt his head.

Neither the severity of the injury nor the specific treatment Diddy received has been independently confirmed. There has also been no publicly verified medical update explaining whether additional care will be necessary.

The reported Diddy prison medical emergency comes during a particularly turbulent period for the 56-year-old, whose incarceration has recently drawn attention over allegations of preferential treatment, disciplinary restrictions, and changes to his anticipated release date.

Just weeks before the medical incident, reports surfaced claiming Diddy was enjoying privileges that would ordinarily violate federal prison regulations.

According to TMZ’s September 29 report, citing an NBC News investigation, sources alleged that the entertainment mogul had access to alcoholic beverages, special meals, massages, and a prohibited cellphone.

The allegations also suggested other incarcerated individuals were performing personal chores for him, raising questions about how prison officials were monitoring his daily activities.

Those accusations have not all been independently established as disciplinary violations. Nevertheless, they reportedly prompted additional scrutiny inside the facility.

On September 30, Diddy was returned to the Special Housing Unit, commonly associated with solitary confinement, while officials investigated allegations surrounding his prison lifestyle.

The placement was not his first experience in restrictive housing.

Back in July, Diddy had been involved in a physical confrontation with another inmate. Sources claimed the disagreement escalated into pushing and punches before correctional officers intervened.

He was subsequently placed in solitary confinement following the confrontation.

However, no verified information suggests that the earlier altercation has any connection to his newly reported head injury.

Beyond the medical concerns and disciplinary allegations, Diddy is also facing a longer wait before his possible release.

Federal prison records now list March 2, 2028, as his projected release date, replacing the previously listed January 21, 2028, date.

The adjustment adds approximately six weeks to his expected incarceration. Although the change followed reports about his alleged prison privileges, the Federal Bureau of Prisons has not publicly confirmed why the date was modified.

Diddy is serving a 50-month federal sentence after being convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.

His attorneys have continued pursuing an appeal as he serves his sentence at Fort Dix.

For now, the immediate concern remains the circumstances surrounding Diddy’s latest medical emergency. While sources indicate he returned to prison within hours and was alert afterward, officials have not publicly clarified what happened, how serious the injury was, or whether he will require further medical attention.

Until additional information emerges, the cause of Diddy’s reported head injury remains unconfirmed.
