Love and Hip Hop Hollywood star Yung Berg, also known as Hitmaka, was arrested in New York City early Wednesday on a domestic violence related charge, according to TMZ.
TMZ reports the charge is obstruction of breathing. The outlet says Berg and a woman were at the Gershwin Hotel when they got into an argument, and it alleges he grabbed her by the neck, threw her to the floor, dragged her by her hair and hit her in the face. According to TMZ, police said the woman had bruises and complained of pain when officers arrived, and Berg was in custody at the time of the report.
At first the woman was not identified. Later the same week, the New York Daily Post reported that she was his Love and Hip Hop Hollywood co star Masika. These are allegations, and a statement from Berg was not available when this story was published. Baller Alert will pass along his response if one is made.
Domestic violence is a serious matter, and an arrest is not a conviction. We will keep following this story as more details come out.
