OTF Jam Couldn’t Help Convict Lil Durk, but He’s Still Throwing Shots From Behind Bars

OTF Jam is back to trolling Lil Durk online despite cooperating with federal prosecutors and accusing his former friend of ordering the deadly Quando Rondo shooting. Durk was ultimately acquitted, but their feud appears far from over.

OTF Jam Couldn't Help Convict Lil Durk, but He's Still Throwing Shots From Behind Bars

OTF Jam is still taking shots at Lil Durk, even after testifying against the Chicago rapper in federal court and watching a jury find him not guilty. Now, an Instagram account associated with the former Only The Family affiliate is making headlines for another apparent jab at Durk while both men remain incarcerated.

Video

The account recently posted a jail cell scene from the comedy “Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood,” accompanied by the caption, “The Nation of Lil Durks.”

The post appears to mock Durk and the supporters who have continued advocating for his freedom. However, it remains unconfirmed whether Jam personally uploaded the video or someone else is managing the account on his behalf.

The latest jab comes just over a month after OTF Jam, whose real name is Kacey Hester, became a central prosecution witness in Durk’s federal murder for hire trial. Hester admitted participating in the 2022 shooting that killed Quando Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, and testified that Durk was responsible for directing the attack.

The case centered on the August 19, 2022, shooting near the Beverly Center in Los Angeles. Federal prosecutors alleged that Durk organized and financed an attempt to kill Quando Rondo in retaliation for the November 2020 death of King Von. Rondo escaped unharmed, but Robinson was fatally shot.

When OTF Jam took the witness stand on August 26, 2026, he gave jurors an account of how the alleged murder plot developed.

Hester identified Durk, Deandre Wilson and David Lindsey as participants in the alleged operation. He also testified that Durk had been involved in conversations about paying either $500,000 or $1 million to have Quando Rondo killed.

Hester claimed the money was discussed during a group conversation at an Atlanta recording studio before the California shooting. He alleged that Durk was present and involved in the discussion.

His accusations carried additional weight because of their lengthy personal relationship. Jam testified that he had known Durk since 2007 and that the rapper maintained contact with him during a previous prison sentence. Durk allegedly helped pay his legal expenses, deposited money into his prison account, and continued supporting him after his release.

However, that relationship became a major focus of Jam’s testimony.

Hester told jurors that on August 18, 2022, he received a call instructing him to travel to California. He said he later learned the purpose of the trip was to locate and kill Quando Rondo.

He testified that members of the group traveled to San Diego before heading toward Los Angeles. Along the way, they allegedly purchased black hoodies and gloves, while Durk’s former assistant, Kavon “OTF Vonnie” Grant, supplied firearms.

Jam also claimed Durk communicated with members of the group through phone calls during the operation.

Hester testified that the group initially attempted to target Rondo outside the Level Hotel. They abandoned that location because of the number of people nearby and later followed Rondo’s vehicle to several other stops.

Eventually, the group followed Rondo and his entourage to a gas station.

Jam admitted being one of the gunmen and testified that Lindsey opened fire first. He acknowledged firing approximately four shots during the attack that killed Robinson.

Hester also claimed that after the shooting, Durk contacted Wilson and asked about what happened. Jam testified that he heard Durk’s voice during the call.

On the stand, Hester described Robinson’s killing as “sloppy” and said he was angry about being involved in a dispute that did not concern him. He maintained that Robinson was not the intended target.

Jam also told jurors he had pleaded guilty to Robinson’s murder and another killing from his past. He acknowledged cooperating with prosecutors and hoping his assistance would help him receive a shorter sentence.

When asked how he felt about Durk, Hester made a statement that revealed how badly their relationship had deteriorated.

“This may be hard to believe because of what I’m doing,” Hester testified. “I still have love for him, I just don’t have no respect for him.”

But Durk’s defense attorney, Brian Steel, challenged whether Jam’s testimony could be trusted.

Steel confronted Hester with a recorded May 2023 interview in which he previously told investigators that he had never discussed Quando Rondo or a payment with Durk before the shooting.

Those statements conflicted with his testimony about the alleged Atlanta studio conversation.

Hester explained that he was distinguishing between private conversations and discussions involving multiple people, but Steel continued pressing him about the inconsistencies.

The defense also presented recorded phone calls in which Jam discussed avoiding additional prison time. Steel questioned whether his cooperation was motivated by the possibility of receiving a reduced sentence.

Another dispute involved communications between Jam and Grant, who were supposed to remain separated while incarcerated. Evidence presented during cross-examination showed they had exchanged messages through another person. Hester maintained that they had not discussed the criminal case.

At one point, Jam directly blamed Durk for what happened.

“It’s not his fault, it’s Durk’s fault,” Hester testified while discussing Grant. “Durk put us in this situation.”

Prosecutors maintained that Jam was telling the truth. Durk’s attorneys argued that the cooperating witnesses were attempting to shift responsibility onto the rapper to help themselves.

Ultimately, the jury did not convict Durk.

On September 11, 2026, Durk was acquitted of all five charges in the murder for hire trial. Wilson and Lindsey were also acquitted of murder for hire charges but convicted on stalking related counts.

Jam remains incarcerated after pleading guilty to his own involvement in Robinson’s killing, with sentencing still pending.

Durk, meanwhile, remains in federal custody because of a separate case involving allegations of murder in aid of racketeering, commonly referred to as VICAR. He has pleaded not guilty.

That trial has been postponed until August 30, 2027, after his attorneys requested additional preparation time. His next bond hearing is scheduled for November 4, 2026.

For now, OTF Jam’s latest apparent social media jab shows that his issues with Durk have continued beyond the courtroom.
