While most celebrity kids are growing up online, Blac Chyna says her household looks very different.
The 37-year-old entrepreneur spoke with PEOPLE during the Starry Starry Night Gala in Palm Desert, California, on January 31, where she shared that her children have zero interest in social media. According to her, son King Cairo, 13, and daughter Dream, 9, are not worried about timelines, trends, or viral moments.
“King and Dream, they don’t care about Instagram or TikTok or any of these type of things at all. They don’t care,” Blac Chyna said.
She explained that the lack of interest is by design. For her, protecting their childhood is a priority, especially in a world where kids are often pushed to grow up fast.
“They’re just being kids, and I’m letting them be kids. I’m not putting them in certain things to disturb their inner childhood,” she said. “I’m keeping them sheltered, but not too sheltered, but just enough. You know?”
Blac Chyna, born Angela Renée White, shares King with rapper Tyga and Dream with Rob Kardashian. Though she is currently single, she has been vocal about maintaining healthy co-parenting relationships with both fathers. In previous interviews, she emphasized that success comes down to structure and respect.
“I think the main thing is communication. And also, learning your boundaries,” she shared earlier this year. “But ultimately, focus on the kid, show respect, have boundaries and communication, and you should have a healthy co-parenting life.”
At this stage in her life, Blac Chyna said she is choosing herself. She is taking a break from dating, staying consistent in the gym, focusing on nutrition, and prioritizing healing.
“I’m taking a break from the love circuit. I’m giving all the love to myself,” she said, adding that she is embracing the new year one day at a time and looking forward to more outdoor adventures ahead.
