Chris Paul’s 21-Year NBA Run Hits Sudden Stop: Sent Home by Clippers at 3 A.M. in Shocking Split

Chris Paul’s final ride in the NBA just hit an unexpected stop sign, and it came in the middle of the night.

The 21-year vet revealed on Instagram around 3 a.m. that the Los Angeles Clippers were sending him home. No press conference. No ceremony. Just a late-night message that he’s out.

“Just found out I’m being sent home,” Paul posted, ending it with a peace emoji.

The Clippers later confirmed the decision. Head of basketball operations Lawrence Frank said, “We are parting ways with Chris, and he will no longer be a part of the team. We will work with him on the next step of his career.”

Paul had signed a $3.6 million deal to rejoin the Clippers this season, but the reunion didn’t live up to expectations. The team is 5-16 and spiraling. Paul, meanwhile, is putting up career lows across the board, just 2.6 points and 3.3 assists per game while averaging only 14.3 minutes.

He recently hinted this season would be his last, posting, “What a ride… Still so much left… GRATEFUL for this last one!!” But no one saw it ending like this.

Frank insisted the blame doesn’t fall on Paul.

“I want to make one thing very clear. No one is blaming Chris for our underperformance. I accept responsibility for the record we have right now,” he stated.

As the Clippers limp into Atlanta on a five-game losing streak, CP3 exits quietly. Whether he’s traded or walks into retirement, one thing’s certain — the Clippers closed the chapter on a legend without even a thank-you.
