Disgruntled Fans Show Up At Matt Schaub’s Home

The Houston Texans didn’t quite have a great game over the weekend and more than a few fans were obviously upset. Many fans took to social media to voice their frustration. Some took it to QB Matt Schaub’s house. How far is too far?

Via CBS Sports

Texans fans accosted Schaub at his home on Tuesday evening and “berated him for his poor play.”

Additionally the source told CBS Houston that another person “took pictures of his family.”

Thankfully those pictures weren’t — according to the report — posted on Facebook or any social networks. According to the report it’s believed that the fans “left on their own accord” and that “no arrests were made.”

Now, I’m not the type of person who will ever say “it’s only a game” because I know how important sports are to people, especially football to Texans. That said, never EVER is it okay to show up to a man’s house to harass him and his family over a football game. Never! That is completely crossing the line and in my opinion Schaub would have every right to pull out the shot gun and start firing. A man’s personal life and the safety of his family does not need to be put in jeopardy over what he does on the field. That is completely idiotic. Those involved are very lucky he didn’t press charges. Charges would have been the least of what I would have pressed.
