During a recent livestream, DJ Akademiks put Offset on blast with a pointed critique that quickly caught fire across social media timelines. Speaking candidly to his audience, Akademiks framed his comments as concern, while still delivering a sharp assessment of what he described as risky behavior tied to gambling.

Akademiks opened by acknowledging his own flaws before turning his focus to the Atlanta rapper, saying, “And with all due respect to Offset, and this is definitely the pot calling the kettle black because I have these issues somewhat as well. Offset needs possible rehab for his gambling addiction. I’ll leave it there.”

He continued by calling out what he viewed as questionable associations, adding, “You can’t be this much of a degenerative gambler that you have turned to the likes of Celina Powell..and not saying there’s nothing inherently wrong with her but but you’re putting yourself in positions that actually you’re forgetting who you are. Like you’re still Offset. Right?”

Akademiks then zoomed out to the potential consequences, warning that personal vices can spiral into public and private damage.

“And some of these other things that are your vices, is becoming so controlling that now you’re putting yourself in positions around people that not only will make you look crazy if they want to, but might compromise you indefinitely, your initiatives of your family, okay? I’ll leave that there.”
