The tech world and the political arena collided hard, literally.
According to ex-Trump buddy Steve Bannon, Elon Musk allegedly “rammed into Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent like a rugby player” during a heated dispute over IRS commissioner picks in the Oval Office back in April.
The altercation began after Trump reportedly sided with Bessent over Musk in the matter. As the two men exited the office, Bessent allegedly snapped, telling Musk, “You’re a fraud. You’re a total fraud.” Things escalated to a physical altercation started by Musk and Bessent allegedly retaliated before others stepped in.
“President Trump heard about it and said, ‘This is too much,’” Bannon claimed to The Washington Post.
Musk has not spoken out about the alleged fight. However, he is currently beefing hard with Trump over budget differences. Musk even claimed that his ex-friend was listed in the infamous Jeffrey Epstein documents. Trump’s team, including JD Vance, has denied this claim.
