Freeway stopped by Jeezy’s The (Re)Session podcast and opened up about the loss of his son in October. He revealed that his son was an organ donor and that his organs went to save others. Something, unfortunately, Freeway knows about all too well, having had a kidney transplant himself.
“My son, he saved four lives. Two people got his kidneys, one person got his lungs, and one person got his liver. It’s a blessing,” the Philadelphia rapper told Jeezy.
“And just for it to come full circle because someone’s son saved my life. Someone’s son was in the same position, and they were generous enough for him to be an organ donor, and that’s how I received my kidney,” he added. “That’s why the gift of life is so important.”
Freeway announced that his son, J ihad Pridgen, 20, had passed away in October, sharing the heartbreaking news in an Instagram post.
