N.O.R.E. is denying sexual assault allegations made by Carmen Bryan in a newly filed lawsuit over an alleged encounter in Manhattan in 1999.

Bryan filed a civil complaint in New York this week accusing N.O.R.E., whose real name is Victor Santiago, of sexually assaulting her inside a Manhattan nightclub while he was promoting his album Melvin Flynt – Da Hustler. According to the complaint, Bryan alleges N.O.R.E. digitally penetrated her without consent before bystanders intervened.

In response, N.O.R.E.’s attorney, Leonard Lesser, called the allegations “entirely false” and said the lawsuit describes “invented interactions.” His attorney also pointed to Bryan’s previous books, arguing that she did not mention N.O.R.E. or the alleged incident in either her 2006 memoir or her 2018 follow-up.

Bryan also claims she later told Jay-Z about the alleged incident and says he wanted to confront N.O.R.E., but she asked him not to.

N.O.R.E.’s legal team says it plans to fight the claims in court. The allegations have not been proven, and the case remains pending.
