Hoodrich Pablo Juan is making it clear that coming home from prison has been about more than getting back to music. During a new conversation with The Baller Alert Show, the Atlanta rapper opened up about protecting his focus after his release, even if that meant temporarily cutting out some of the distractions waiting for him on the outside.

While discussing the women filling his Instagram feed, Hoodrich Pablo Juan said his priorities had shifted.
“I gotta concentrate. I ain’t concentrating on that,” he said in reference to Instagram baddies on his newsfeed.
That mindset eventually led him to experiment with celibacy, which he said helped him get mentally centered.
“I ain’t gonna lie. I went celibate for a little minute, and it got me right when I was.”
He continued, “I was just like, hold on, let me try this, and it got my mind in concentration, you know what I’m saying… I lasted about 34 days.”
The admission offers another look at how Hoodrich Pablo Juan has approached life since regaining his freedom. The rapper, born Sterling Leroy Pennix Jr., was released from Georgia state custody on October 19, 2025, after spending roughly five years behind bars following his October 2020 arrest.
His incarceration stemmed from a sweeping Georgia gang investigation. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, authorities announced in October 2020 that 46 people had been indicted following Operation Caged Doves, an investigation involving alleged members and associates of the Rollin’ 20s Neighborhood Bloods. The indictment included numerous RICO, gang, drug, weapons, and violent crime counts across the group of defendants.
Hoodrich Pablo Juan later pleaded guilty to one count of violating Georgia’s RICO law. TMZ reported in December 2022 that his plea agreement resulted in five years of incarceration followed by 10 years of probation, with credit given for the more than two years he had already spent in custody.
Since his release, focus has become a recurring theme in the rapper’s conversations about his future. In a December 2025 interview, Hoodrich Pablo Juan said his time away made him more deliberate about his choices. He also discussed plans to develop his Money World label and continue releasing new music while rebuilding his career.
That context makes his Baller Alert Show comments about celibacy less about simply avoiding women and more about discipline after losing years of freedom. With social media, relationships, music, and everyday life all competing for his attention again, Hoodrich Pablo Juan appears determined to decide where that attention goes.
Thirty-four days may not have turned into a permanent lifestyle, but according to Juan, the experiment did what he needed it to do. It helped him lock back in.
