A woman featured in the viral #IsThisYoThot video has reportedly filed a lawsuit against rapper 2 Chainz and his artist Cap 1, according to WBTV.
The video was filmed in March 2014 backstage at a 2 Chainz and August Alsina concert. In it, the woman, whose first name is Christine, is asked by 2 Chainz and others who she came to see. She says Cap 1. The clip was later uploaded to YouTube by members of the rapper’s camp, and the hashtag began trending.
Christine reportedly threatened legal action over the video last year. WBTV reports she has now filed suit in Mecklenburg County Superior Court in North Carolina against 2 Chainz, whose legal name is Tauheed Epps, and Cap 1. She claims the video severely damaged her reputation and cost her a job after it went viral. She is seeking $5 million in damages.
These are allegations in a court filing and have not been decided. No response from 2 Chainz or Cap 1 was included in the WBTV report.
