Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez and baseball icon Alex Rodriguez have called it quits after a two-year engagement.
Though the couple was happily photographed together last month in the Dominican Republic, where J. Lo is working on her forthcoming film, “Shotgun Wedding,” the two have decided to go their separate ways. While an exact reason was not revealed, a source told Page Six that the picture-perfect couple was on the rocks, and another source confirmed the split on Friday.
“He’s now in Miami getting ready for baseball season, and she’s filming her movie in the Dominican Republic,” the source claimed.
A-Rod seems to be taking the breakup well. On Friday, he posted a photo of himself on a yacht in Miami, looking relaxed as he awaited the weekend. Lopez also appears unbothered as she continues to post regularly on her social media as well.
The superstar couple revealed their engagement in 2019 following a two-year relationship. However, their wedding was postponed twice. In a recent interview, J. Lo said that the couple underwent therapy together in quarantine, though there was no indication of a split.
A-Rod was accused of FaceTiming with “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy last month, though people close to the 45-year-old baseball veteran insist that he does not know the woman. It is unknown if she may have played a role in the couple’s demise.
Neither Lopez nor Rodriguez have commented publicly on the breakup.
