Laura Loomer went after
Representative LaMonica McIver on
X, and McIver answered by posting a photo of Loomer from before her long rumored plastic surgery. Her caption said she prays every day that Loomer gets the help she deeply and desperately needs, and that people get the faces they deserve.
Earlier in the week she posted in defense of
Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar and
Angie Nixon, writing that Loomer is as stupid as she is racist, that the women she is attacking are classier and smarter than she will ever be, and that Black power scares her. Her closing line was that Loomer’s nonsense will never stop Black women from leading.

That post is what put her on the list. Loomer responded by calling McIver another ghetto black communist [expletive] who does not belong in Congress. She referred to her as a heifer, questioned what she knows about class given her federal indictment, and asked what type of ratchet attacks an ICE agent before repeating the slur and telling her to keep her hands to herself.

The indictment Loomer is pointing at comes out of a confrontation in May 2025 outside Delaney Hall, an immigration detention facility in Newark. Prosecutors allege McIver assaulted and interfered with federal officers during a clash that broke out while Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was being arrested. She pleaded not guilty, rejected a plea deal, and has consistently described the case as a politically motivated attempt to punish a member of Congress for doing oversight work at a facility in her own district. Last month a federal appeals court largely rejected her effort to have the charges thrown out, ruling that two counts can proceed, which clears the way for a trial. Nothing has been proven, and the case is still open.
McIver is also not the first target here. On
Friday, Laura Loomer posted a video naming five Black women in public life: Nixon, Omar, Pressley, former
Representative Cori Bush and
Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. She described them as ghetto, entitled, race obsessed and destructive, used the same slur, and said they were unfit for the power they hold. Her stated justification was that stereotypes exist for a reason.
She spent the weekend refusing to walk any of it back. When people called for Republicans to disavow her, she posted that she had called Nixon a ghetto black communist [expletive] and ran through the words one by one as though confirming a checklist. She mocked Nixon’s speech as Ebonics and said she might need to bark at her and tug her leash for Nixon to understand. When Nixon told her to use the title Representative, Loomer answered with another stereotype. Nixon, a
Jacksonville state representative who just won
Florida’s Democratic Senate primary, has said publicly that she has been called a dog, a monkey, an ape and a gorilla. She responded to Loomer by pointing at a
2024 promotional video in which Loomer ate a dog food topper on camera, and by invoking
Queen Latifah. The condemnations have come from across Democratic leadership.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries called Loomer a stone cold racist.
Maryland Governor Wes Moore said she attacks Black women because racism is good for her clicks and her business model.
Representative Rashida Tlaib, who has been targeted by Loomer herself, said anti Black racism is going unchecked.
The response getting the most attention came from the right.
Marjorie Taylor Greene, who resigned from Congress in
January after her public split with Trump, said she denounces the comments completely, called them nasty, hateful and racist, and said the
Republican Party and Trump own Loomer and keep her in the inner circle anyway.
Stephen A. Smith also took her on Wednesday night, the same evening she went after McIver,
Piers Morgan and
Milo Yiannopoulos.
Laura Loomer holds no formal role in the administration, but she has roughly two million followers on X and a documented history of influencing federal personnel decisions. As of Thursday, no one in Republican leadership had joined Greene in condemning her.
