Lizzo is making it clear she has no interest in turning internet tension into a public feud. During a recent livestream, the Grammy winner responded after a fan asked whether she still rocks with Nicki Minaj following Nicki’s recent comments online about her weight.

“Somebody asked me if I still f**k with Nicki Minaj,” Lizzo said before explaining she intentionally avoids digging into negative commentary about herself online. “I don’t really know what exactly was said about me. But I do know that there were some things said about me from her on the internet. I am choosing not to know about that. I don’t want to know.”
The moment comes months after Nicki Minaj sparked backlash on X with a post targeting Lizzo’s body and career.
“Fat Lizzo lost 300 lbs just to sell 300 albums,” Nicki wrote before adding more criticism about Lizzo’s appearance and music.
Still, Lizzo told viewers she refuses to let online shade affect her real life. “It’s not going to make a difference to my everyday life, whether someone likes me or not,” she said. “I just have to keep it pushing.”
She also clarified that comments about people with “personal relationships” talking about her online were not directed at Nicki. “I do not know Nicki Minaj personally,” Lizzo added. “Please do not clip this and make this into something it’s not. I am trying to fucking have a peaceful life.”
