This week’s New Music Friday proves the rap ladies are holding it down in every lane, starting with Latto, who dropped a highly anticipated new project.
Latto leads the week with her new album, “Big Mama,” a 17-track, 52-minute project released through Streamcut and RCA Records. The album arrives during a major life chapter for the Atlanta rapper, who recently welcomed her first child and previously used the “Big Mama” rollout to reveal her pregnancy. Apple Music describes the project as her fourth full-length release and notes that Latto referred to it on social media as her “retirement album.”
The rollout has been personal and cinematic. Latto announced the album alongside the “Business & Personal” video, which featured pregnancy visuals, including a crib, scrapbook, and baby bump reveal, tying the project directly to her new era as a mother. The album follows her 2024 project “Sugar Honey Iced Tea” and includes previously released singles such as “Somebody,” “Business & Personal (Intro),” and “GOMF” featuring GloRilla.
Monaleo also keeps the energy high with her new single, “Everything Pinka,” listed on streaming platforms as “Everythang Pinka,” featuring Teezo Touchdown. Apple Music confirms the track as a 2026 single and places it among Monaleo’s latest releases, while Teezo’s artist page also lists the collaboration under his featured appearances. The Houston rapper first broke through with “Beating Down Yo Block” and has continued building a reputation for sharp, Southern-rooted confidence and witty delivery. Pairing her with Teezo, another Texas creative known for genre-bending style, gives the record a playful but intentional hometown connection.
Young M.A. rounds out the week with “KWEEN,” her new album and a major return for the Brooklyn rapper. The tracklist brings along “Therapy (intro),” “Still Free,” and “Pressure” featuring G Herbo. “KWEEN” marks her first full-length release since 2021 and her first proper studio album since “HERstory”in 2017.
