The Queen of Rap might be taking her latest online feud to the courtroom. Following a viral back-and-forth on Twitter, Nicki Minaj suggested she’s looking into legal options, even going as far as to tag high-profile attorney Tony Buzbee in a post that has since been deleted.
It all started after a commentator known as Dr. Penking shared a video of Minaj from a previous year. Along with the footage, he stated, “Nicki Minaj should understand that she has gotten old and retire.”
Minaj didn’t take the comment lightly, immediately pushing back against the unauthorized use of her content. In her response, she questioned the legal right to use her old footage for what she described as harassment. “Do you have permission to use this video that I filmed years ago to harass me on this or any other platform? You’ve just been added to the suit. @TonyBuzbee2 check DM,” she reportedly wrote.
Despite the warning, Dr. Penking stood his ground, claiming his remarks were simply a matter of free speech.
“Tell Nicki Minaj that my self and my team are ready and eagerly anticipating her papers,” he fired back. “Freedom of speech and expression is supreme in all constitutions in the world, and I have the right to express my opinion at all times. Is she old? Yes, she is 43. There is nothing harassing about this.”

The mention of Tony Buzbee has sparked plenty of conversation, as the lawyer is well-known for handling massive cases against industry moguls like Jay-Z and Diddy. While it’s not yet confirmed if Buzbee has officially taken the case, Minaj’s public outreach suggests she is seriously considering legal action to protect her image and likeness from online critics.
