Following reports that “Ebro In The Morning” is no longer airing on Hot 97 WQHT, 50 Cent took to Instagram to repost a clip of Ebro Darden criticizing him. In the video, Ebro is heard saying that 50 “ruined New York hip-hop,” a comment that clearly did not sit well with the G-Unit founder.
Alongside the clip, 50 added his own commentary, writing, “That’s why I put a word in to have your show taken off the air, you can’t just go around saying Nasty things about people.” The post immediately sparked reactions across social media, with fans debating whether the claim was serious, sarcastic, or classic 50 Cent trolling.
There has been no confirmation from Hot 97, MediaCo, or Superadio that 50 Cent had any involvement in the show’s removal. Industry reporting has so far pointed only to internal changes, with no official explanation released. Still, 50’s comment adds another layer to the moment, especially given his long history of public feuds and sharp online commentary.
“Ebro In The Morning,” which debuted in 2012, recently came to an apparent end after more than a decade on air. Both Ebro Darden and Peter Rosenberg confirmed the show’s conclusion through social media, though neither cited a specific reason for the change. All references to the program have since been removed from Hot97.com.
