Amazon and Grubhub are giving customers some extra savings by extending their free Grubhub+ offer.Â
On Monday, the companies, which have been partners since last year, announced that Prime members could receive an additional year of free Grubhub+. Any members who signed up for the free year of the service when the collaboration launched in July 2022 can take advantage of an additional year of Grubhub+ at no additional charge. According to the press release, those who redeem through July 5th, 2023, can enjoy a total of 24 months with no extra fees.Â
Through the promotion, Prime members have saved quite a bit of money. It’s estimated that anyone who orders from the food delivery service at least once a month saves about $230 a year. This savings value is much greater for those who use Grubhub+ even more frequently. The extension of this deal is in celebration of the one-year anniversary of Grubhub and Amazon joining forces.Â
Grubhub+ is the monthly subscription leg of Grubhub. Users can pay $10 per month and enjoy free delivery on all orders over $12. The subscription also comes with a free Lyft Pink membership, which is typically $10 a month and includes free priority pickup upgrades.
In addition to the much-needed savings, Prime Video and Grubhub have the foodie series “Tune In & Takeout.” These videos examine what foods pair well with certain movies. This content helps eliminate the issue of what to watch after getting their dinner. Think “Prime Video & Chill” with curated flicks and meals.
Prime subscribers can enroll in Grubhub+ by going to amazon.com/grubhub.
