Rapper Azealia Banks has announced that she is engaged.
According to Revolt TV, Banks is engaged to Ryder Ripps. The 29-year-old broke the news on Monday by posting a photo of her hand wearing an engagement ring. “I just got engaged kunts. I’m crying …. I’m Jewish now. MAZEL TOV BITCHES! WE IN HERE…. YERRRRRRR, the rapper wrote.” She also apparently converted to Judaism.
Her husband-to-be is Ryder Ripps, a conceptual artist and creative director of OKFocus, a digital marketing and design agency. Ripps has worked with notable artists, including Pusha T, Kanye West, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, and others. Also, Ripps partnered with Pop Smoke’s mother to create the final design of the rapper’s “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon” album.
According to the outlet, there are no concrete details about how long the two have been dating. However, the rapper posted a photo of them together with a caption that read: “power couple.” Ryder Ripps also posted a photo of Banks wearing her engagement ring. In the caption, he simply tagged her.
The rapper just made headlines for moving out of her longtime home, and almost a week ago, the musician called out longstanding beef with blogger Perez Hilton. “I will never forgive you hoes for trading me out for Perez,” Banks wrote in her Instagram story at the time. “After everything I have done for you ungrateful bitches. Y’all repaid me with racism, sabotage, misogyny, harassment, and bullshit sensationalism.”
