Beyoncé just got inducted into a very exclusive and elite club, though she’s already been at the top of every list. This award makes her the first female artist and the third person to join the club with Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson.
As “Break My Soul” just climbed to the top 100, she has officially become the first female artist to “tally at least 20 top 10 hits as a soloist and 10 or more top 10s as a member of a group,” according to Billboard.
Beyoncé’s very first appearance on the Hot 100 top 10 was with Jay Z on “’03 Bonnie and Clyde” in 2003. Then her next entry was with her future hubby on “Crazy in Love,” also in 2003. It clearly was winning time for the rumored couple at the time. And recently, her remix with Megan Thee Stallion on “Savage” gained her another entry. Now, “Break My Soul” has taken her to the next literal level.
Her contributions to Destiny’s Child paved the way, though. They received 10 top 10s (four top no. 1s), including “Bills Bills Bills,” “Bootylicious,” “Say My Name,” and “Independent Women Part 1.” The group’s debut hit, “No, No, No,” put them on the map, charting at No.3 in 1998.
“Break My Soul” is the lead single on the singer’s highly-anticipated upcoming album Renaissance, dropping July 29.
