A visual artist has put Rich The Kid on blast, claiming the rapper hired her to create artwork for a song called “Nasty” and then refused to pay her.
The artist Emonee LaRussa posted about her ordeal on her social media accounts, calling out Rich and providing receipts of conversations between herself and the rapper-discussing the artwork she had been commissioned to create.
“So, I’ve never posted a video like this because this has never happened to me in my entire career,” LaRussa said as she shared a series of emails and DMs between herself and Rich. “This is Rich The Kid. He hired me to do cover art, and now he refuses to pay me,” she explained.
LaRussa claimed that Rich gave her “complete freedom” to create the artwork, and she submitted four different variations of graphics for him to choose from. She also noted that she “paid additional artists to give him more options.”
“After days, he finally gets back to me,” LaRussa said. “Tells me he wants to change it but doesn’t tell me what he wants to change it to. Instead of giving me art direction, he just tells me to listen to the song again.”
Rich The Kid responded via social media and claimed he didn’t like the artwork she submitted, and that’s why he didn’t pay. “Told yo goofy ass I ain’t like the cover art and I did not want to uses the trash a** shit u sent me,” he wrote on his IG story. “Nobody paying for a dinner of the waiter brought the wrong order and I still gave yo dusty ass $500,” he continued.
The rapper also posted video responses, one in which he flaunted a large stack of money and lamented, “Every other day it’s somebody on my d*ck, huh. Suck my d*ck.”
