What makes a strong woman? What makes a woman that doesn’t take crap from no man? When does a woman learn to value herself and know her worth? The answer to this would be the way a woman is raised. A woman learns how to be a woman from her mother. A woman learns how a man should treat her by the way her father treats her. Both parents are essential in the growth of a woman. When a woman lacks the attention from her father, she ends up being confused and lost as to what exactly a good man is. I see that a lot of marriages fail but if that does happen, I believe that the father has a responsibility to be there for their daughters. Daughters need to receive attention and direction from their fathers.
It is possible for a mother and father to actually stay together and the father not be around to raise their daughter the right way. This girl then turns to the first guy she meets to fulfill the lack of fathering in her own life. She then turns into a woman who allows men to disrespect her. Some young women date relatively older men in order to fill that void. This brings me to a tough topic, emotional and/or physical abuse. It’s common for people to judge a woman in an abusive relationship and assume she’s an idiot for staying in such a damaging relationship. But the fact of the matter is that the woman who has not had proper guidance and isn’t self-aware allows this behavior out of nativity. These type of relationships can warp a woman’s mind and let her loose herself. It becomes so damaging that she cant get out even if she wants to. This man has made her mind into mush and lowered her self worth. In her mind, she isn’t worth the time of day and he’s the only person who will be with her.
Emotional abuse is horrible because there are no physical bruises but just a crushed soul, a woman who is scarred from someone who she trusted and loved. The man who is abusing this woman has his own issues that he isn’t dealing with but that’s besides the point. He has done damage that at times can be irreversible. This woman goes to work and hangs with her friends, not showing any signs of abuse. No one can see it but her, no one knows the internal pain that she is in. This man controls absolutely everything about her, including how she sees herself. He will use threats and intimidation to get his way. He will make her stop seeing her family and friends as much. He will humiliate her and make her feel small. He will mock her and yell at her and curse at her. He will then turn around and blame her for the way she made him treat her. Some times, she wont show signs.
I encourage all men to properly raise their daughter and ALWAYS tell her she’s worth the world. Without proper guidance, some women are more susceptible to abuse. A father figure isn’t always around but when a man makes a child it is his responsibility to raise this child and make sure that she knows exactly what is okay and not okay. Emotional abuse is no joke, its painful and scarring and sometimes too damaging to fix. Help your daughters.
