Kevin Durant had to get some straightening with two fans after he was allegedly called a b****.
Before Thursday’s game between the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks, WFAA sports anchor Jonah Javad captured the moment. There’s no disputing that the fans used the word b**** while Durant and his teammates jogged onto the court.
Durant believed the explicit name was directed towards him and walked over to confront the two fans.
The noise in the arena made it hard to hear what their exchange was but it appears nothing was resolved as Durant walked away, Complex reported.
It appears that security was going to escort the disrespectful fans, but Durant returned to tell security not to escort the two out of the game.
This isn’t the first time the 14-time NBA All-Star has had an exchange with fans. In 2018, Durant told two Mavericks fans to “watch the f***** game and shut the f*** up” after they repeatedly called him “cupcake,” a name used during his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder that referred to someone who was “soft.”
