The Justice Department has charged two Pennsylvania women in connection with the January 6 riots in Washington D.C. One of the two women made violent threats against Speaker Nancy Pelosi on camera.
CNN reports that Dawn Bancroft was arrested on Friday along with another woman, Diana Santos-Smith. The two women were charged with violent entry on Capitol grounds, remaining in a restricted area, and disorderly conduct in a restricted building.
Bancroft, a gym owner, filmed the “selfie” style video showing the women in a crowd trying to exit the Capitol.
According to an affidavit, Bancroft can be heard saying, “We broke into the Capitol. … We got inside, we did our part,” and “We were looking for Nancy to shoot her in the friggin’friggin’ brain, but we didn’t find her.”
Santos-Smith told detectives that she and Bancroft did not go into any chambers or offices while inside the Capitol. She also claimed that the two were inside the for less than a minute.
The New York Post reports that someone sent the video to the FBI on January 12. Bancroft had shared the video with her family and advised them also to delete the video.
