Police are currently investigating Remy Ma for allegedly punching ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star Brittney Taylor during the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert at Irving Plaza near Union Square.
Remy Ma was scheduled to perform a set with Fat Joe at the event when Brittney entered the backstage area and was attacked by Remy, this according to what Brittney told police. She recalled them “exchanging words” in the green room regarding a recent attack on Remy’s stepdaughter, Dejanae, in which Remy accuses her of knowing about.
Brittney says Remy punched her in the eye, forcing her to go to the hospital for treatment for following the altercation. She then filed a police report and took to Instagram to share her side of the story and show her black eye.
Taylor posted, “So, here am I on my way to a very important meeting and it’s hard to even focus because of what occurred last night. I didn’t wanna bring it to social media because Its pretty embarrassing and not a good look tbh. I tried my best to cover it up with make up and move on, but that still didn’t work. My Question is #remyma why did you really do this?”
Remy Ma is currently on parole stemming from a 2007 attempted murder charge, in which the rap star served six years in prison. Sources close to Remy’s side, tell TMZ there’s no validity to Brittney’s story.
