Teyana Taylor is moving with class. The public recently learned that Taylor and Iman Shumpert separated, and while many speculations have circulated, they both remained quiet.
However, Taylor made an Instagram post to clear up the rumors because in her words, the “narratives are getting a little out of hand….”
Shumpert and Taylor shared ten years together, 7 years married, and have two children. And although they’ve chosen to go their separate ways, Taylor didn’t take too kindly of people bashing him.
“AHT AHT! Not too much on my bestie! In all fairness, Iman and I are separated and have been for a while. To be 1000% clear, “infidelity” ain’t one of the reasons for our departure. We are still best friends, great business partners and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our 2 beautiful children. Most importantly we are FAMILY & in the 10years together, 7yrs married we ain’t never played with or about THAT.”
Taylor then went on to say she and Iman chose to leave people out of their “group chat”—-in other words their business. She says that was the way they were able to “successfully and peacefully” separate.

Speculations swirled around the former couple after some pictures circulated on social media of Shumpert with other women, leading people to think he was being unfaithful. But that gag is, they were already separated and seem to be doing just fine.
