As a DJ, taking control of a crowd and receiving a reaction is no easy feat to accomplish. The cultural phenomenon that helped birth hip-hop in the Bronx during the late 1970s has since crossfaded into greater heights across the globe, contributing to a multi-billion dollar industry.
And in addition to gathering the right set of people and beverages to entertain guests for an event, you may also want to consider selecting one of the following mixmasters to help keep your next party lit into the next morning. With that said, we decided to highlight five of our favorite DJs spinning on today’s music scene.
Let us know your favorites in the comment section.

Last month, the self-proclaimed “Wolf of South Beach” inked a joint venture deal with Traktion Music Group & Roc Nation.
DJ Envy (@djenvy)
DJ Envy isn’t your average DJ. Since the 90s, the Queens, NY-native has been very active as he made his rounds on the DJ and mixtape scene. Fast forward to 2018, and he’s one of the leading on-air radio DJs in the country. Each morning fans can check out the “People’s Champ” as a co-host of the hit syndicated radio show, “The Breakfast Club,” and by night rocking at your favorite nightclub. Adding to his plethora list of jobs, this Fall Envy will star alongside his family in the Bravo Docu-Comedy series, “Gold With Envy.”
