Coco Jones and Donovan Mitchell got married, according to video from the reception that started circulating Saturday night. The footage came off a guest’s Instagram story before spreading across X, and it shows Coco in her veil moving through a tent draped in cream fabric with florals hanging from the ceiling, the room on its feet and cheering, bridesmaids in champagne gowns all around her.
The timing lines up with everything they have said publicly. Mitchell proposed on July 11, 2025, by a pool surrounded by palm trees, and the two of them announced it with dual Instagram posts the same day. Her rep said at the time that the couple had taken a moment to recharge on vacation after his season and her sold out tour, and that it turned into a beautiful engagement. They had been dating about two years at that point.
She had been telling people for months that she wanted the wedding small. At the Grammys in February she said she was hoping for something intimate, that planning a whole wedding was an indescribable feeling, and that she was excited. She also said she did not want her day to look like the ceremonies that circulate online. Earlier she had joked to People that marriage was the biggest contract she had ever signed, that she thinks about her life too much like business and needed to stop, and that this one was a real life forever commitment. When asked how she would find time to plan it between an album, a world tour and her eighth Grammy nomination, she said she would make the time and to stop playing with her.
The two of them met at a networking event for creatives in 2023, though Mitchell had known of her longer, since Bel-Air had collaborated with his shoe line. He slid into her DMs with a red heart that she never saw, which she later said worked in his favor because it would not have worked on her anyway. Ciara and Russell Wilson reportedly helped bring them together. They kept the relationship quiet for a long stretch, and Coco was evasive when Shannon Sharpe asked her about it directly, saying she wanted to protect her family and who she loves. She later admitted she loved that the internet had clocked her tea anyway.
Mitchell has been less guarded. At Cavaliers media day last September he called her his dog and said he loves her to death, that she is an amazing human being who brings him peace. He talked about riding along on her Why Not More Tour and realizing she travels and works as hard as he does, up late nights on the bus. Being able to call her his fiancée and his wife, he said, was a blessing.
As of Saturday night, that last part is official.
