Rihanna gave fans a rare look at her daughter Rocki on Saturday, dropping a carousel of 19 photos and home videos to celebrate the baby girl’s first year. Rocki Irish Mayers turned one on September 13, and her mother summed up the whole experience in one caption: “who let me have a daughter, bro?”
The carousel explains the caption. Rocki is one and already acts like the closet belongs to her. In one video, she sits in a tan onesie playing with Rihanna’s Louis Vuitton bag. Rihanna takes it away. Rocki cries. The tears dry up the second the bag lands back in her hands, and Rihanna only held out for about four, five seconds before giving in.
The beauty gene showed up early too. Rocki sits in pink rollers in one clip and plays with a Fenty Beauty product in another. In a home video that had Rihanna’s friends and family cracking up, she tries on one of her mother’s wigs, which swallows her whole, while someone off camera laughs, “I’m sorry, baby!”
She even got her first red carpet moment. It was the toy version, but Rocki worked it anyway, posing in front of a playset backdrop covered in flashing camera bulbs while wearing a furry yellow robe with pink lining and a tiara. Other slides show a newborn Rocki cuddled up on her mother, Rihanna trying to coax her into saying “mama,” and Rocki lounging in a bikini, plus little bows, earrings and a bonnet sprinkled throughout.
For Rihanna, a daughter was the dream. After welcoming sons RZA in 2022 and Riot in 2023 with A$AP Rocky, she told Interview Magazine in 2024 that she would go for more than two children. “I would try for my girl,” she said. “But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”
She got her girl. Rihanna revealed her third pregnancy at the 2025 Met Gala, and she announced the birth on Instagram last September with a photo of herself cradling her daughter Rocki in pink, alongside a pair of tiny pink boxing gloves. The name itself is a nod to her father’s stage name.
The birthday post sent fans straight to the comments, where they crowned Rocki a mini diva and told Rihanna to start saving her designer bags now, because her daughter Rocki is clearly coming for all of them.
