But who exactly is Christian Wood?
The 31-year-old basketball player is no stranger to the spotlight. Wood previously played for several NBA teams, including the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, and Los Angeles Lakers. He joined the Lakers in 2023 after spending the previous season in Dallas.
During his NBA career, Wood established himself as a talented scorer and rebounder. His most productive years included a stint with Houston, where he averaged nearly 18 points and 10 rebounds per game during the 2021–22 season.
Wood last played in the NBA during the 2023–24 season and was waived by the Lakers in February 2025 after dealing with knee injuries. He is currently listed as a free agent.
