Serayah’s breakup with Joey Bada$$ has officially entered the celebration phase. Just one day after the actress publicly ended her engagement and accused Joey of repeatedly cheating, her friends rallied around her with a girls’ night and a very direct dessert.

Serayah’s friends treated her to a night out following the breakup announcement, complete with drinks, a toast, and a cake aimed directly at her former fiancé. In a video posted to her Instagram Story, Serayah wrote, “Anyway, thank you next. Celebrate your homegirls.” In the clip, a red and white cake that read “F**k that n***a” was front and center.The celebration follows a turbulent 24 hours for the former couple. Serayah announced Monday, August 24, that she had ended her engagement and relationship with Joey, alleging “repeated infidelity throughout our relationship, including during some of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of my life.”
Serayah also made it clear that she had reached a point where staying was no longer an option. In her original Instagram statement, she wrote, “There comes a point in a woman’s life when choosing herself is no longer an option; it becomes necessary.”
But the carefully written statement was not the end of it.
Serayah later posted and deleted material that appeared to include a recorded conversation involving Joey and another woman. During that emotional Instagram Story, Serayah said she had evidence to support what she was alleging.
“I have my f**king receipts,” she said.
Serayah went even further while describing how she says their private relationship differed from the future Joey had promised her.
“I am so f**king upset, and I don’t know if one day I’ll regret this, but right now, I don’t regret it, because this person has been a literal piece of s**t to me in private,” she said in the now-deleted Story.
Serayah claimed Joey proposed, encouraged her to build a life with him, and continued telling her he wanted their relationship after she discovered alleged cheating. She ultimately shut the door on the possibility of being talked back into the relationship, declaring, “There’s no podcast he can get on, sweet talk in the world, it’s over with.”
According to TMZ, sources close to the situation said Serayah decided to post the receipts after she heard a recent phone conversation between Joey and another woman. The outlet reported that Serayah believed Joey and the woman had been involved behind her back. Joey had not publicly responded to the cheating allegations.
The breakup comes after several major milestones for Serayah and Joey. The pair first met in 2021, publicly confirmed their romance in 2023, and welcomed a son together in 2025.
Their engagement became public shortly after their son’s arrival. Serayah revealed her engagement ring in a July 2025 social media post while discussing motherhood and praising Joey for supporting her. At the time, she called him “a good man” and said, “My fiancé has held it DOWN you hear me !”
That public image makes the current fallout especially sharp. During a May 2025 interview with Essence, Joey discussed his previous experience with polyamory and said his relationship with Serayah had changed what he wanted romantically.
“So I’m very much monogamous now,” he said at the time.
Serayah is now publicly alleging a very different reality behind the relationship. While she originally said she planned to protect their son’s privacy and avoid sharing intimate details, the emotions surrounding the split briefly spilled onto Instagram before some of her posts disappeared.
Now, after the breakup statement, the deleted receipts and the allegations, Serayah’s circle appears focused on making sure she knows she is not navigating the fallout alone. And judging by the cake, her friends did not need a lengthy speech to make their position clear.
