Quavo is opening up about one of the moments he now holds closest to his heart. During a recent sit-down with Baller Alert, the Atlanta rapper spoke candidly about working alongside his late nephew and fellow Migos member, Takeoff, in the upcoming film, “Takeover.”
While discussing the movie, Quavo reflected on making sure Takeoff was part of the project from the beginning. Looking back now, he admitted the experience means even more after Takeoff’s tragic passing in 2022.

“I was making sure he had got his down there and got on the film,” Quavo said. “And now that I look back at it, I feel like that’s one of my proudest moments.”
The conversation quickly turned emotional as Quavo explained how deeply Takeoff trusted him creatively. According to Quavo, that support never changed no matter what vision he pursued.
“He always trusts my vision. He always trusts what I want to do. And he always support anything that I was all in on,” he shared.
Then came the part that caught fans off guard. Quavo openly admitted Takeoff may have been the stronger actor between them both.
“So he got down there, played his role. He actually a better actor than me because he’s so laid back and so comfortable in what he doing,” Quavo said. “And he always like, you might not see him rehearse, but when he, it’s time, lights, camera, action. He don’t miss a beat.”
Quavo added that seeing Takeoff fully lock into the role made him proud.
“So that was great to see how he took it serious.”
For fans, the film now carries a different weight. What once started as another creative move for the duo has become a lasting memory captured on screen.
