Police arrested a man wanted for attempted murder at Trippie Redd’s South Florida mansion on Tuesday night after a search warrant brought SWAT officers and federal agents to the property.
Davie Police served the warrant around 6 p.m. on October 6 at the rapper’s Southwest Ranches home. Officers from Fort Lauderdale and Sunrise, the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the ATF and the Plantation Police SWAT team backed them up. The case belongs to the City of Miami Police Department, which is leading the investigation.
Inside the home, officers found Braveone Jones, a 25 year old who also goes by BalloutDaDon, and took him into custody. Jail records show Jones is charged with two counts of attempted second degree murder with a firearm, and his bond is set at $15,000 on each count.
Those charges come from a shooting in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood on September 15. Police say shots were fired outside Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen on NW 24th Street, and officers later found a second victim outside Skinny Louie’s, the restaurant next door. Both men were in serious but stable condition, according to NBC 6.
Trippie Redd has not been charged with anything. Police also have not said how Jones knows the rapper, why he was at the house, or whether Trippie was home when officers arrived. Before the arrest became public, it was unclear whether the warrant had anything to do with Trippie himself or what investigators were looking for.
By Wednesday morning, the police presence at the Trippie Redd mansion was gone. Miami police said the investigation is still ongoing.
The home is the same $8 million estate fans know from his social media, and the size of the response turned a quiet Tuesday evening in Southwest Ranches into a scene. Six agencies were involved in serving one warrant.
This is not Trippie Redd’s first run in with Miami-Dade law enforcement. In July 2025, the rapper, born Michael Lamar White IV, was arrested at Miami International Airport while trying to board a flight to Europe for a festival performance. That arrest came from an open bench warrant tied to a 2023 invalid driver’s license charge, and he was released after posting a $150 bond.
Jones remains in custody on the Miami-Dade case.
