The drama kicked off after an account on Twitter shared a screenshot from Grok, an AI chatbot, which falsely alleged that Carlos was convicted of attempted rape in 1993 and served five years in prison.

However, the entire narrative was a total setup. It turns out the screenshot was a complete fabrication, as the real Grok actually shut the rumor down when asked.

”No, that claim isn’t accurate,” the AI tool stated. “Based on public records and statements from Cardi B, her father, Carlos Almanzar, has no such conviction—it’s likely mistaken identity with someone else of a similar name. The screenshot appears fabricated.”

Despite the AI itself debunking the claim, the fake image spread like wildfire, forcing Cardi to address the “deranged” behavior head-on. She was quick to point out the obvious logic that the trolls missed.

“First thing first, my dad never been arrested in this county… my dad is a immigrant from the Dominican Republic.. he would be deported if he committed such a disgusting crime!!” Cardi fired back. “I don’t know why y’all like playing these games just for you to be fake mad when I post who got those real mugshots, real evidence, AND REAL cases for rape.. stop playing wit me and my family and leave me the f**k alone fr before I start some s**t today.”
