Nicki Minaj Says She, Trump And Elon Musk Are “One of One” In New Post About The Group That Lost Them

A string of Nicki Minaj tweets this week placed her in the same category as Donald Trump and Elon Musk, with the rapper writing that any group that lost all three of them would be losing something it can never get back.

She described the three of them as strong spiritual signatures who cannot be duplicated, which she said means no model could ever be trained to copy what they carry. She called them “one of one” and framed their departure as a major loss to any system, because systems need people the public actually believes in. From there she made a broader argument about how leadership works now. A person has roughly three to five seconds to win a crowd, she wrote, and only someone operating from a truthful place can lead. The crowd decides before a word is spoken. People sense it rather than seeing or hearing it. They are unconsciously observing you, and they already know.

A second post laid out what she called a quick lesson on groups. There are two of them, in her framing. One speaks doom over people. The other speaks life into them, makes them want to live, and makes them excited about the future. She asked which group anyone would want to belong to, then added that the group speaking doom wants everybody to believe the group speaking life is the miserable one.

Screenshot of Nicki Minaj's verified X post. The text reads: 'Quick lesson on groups. There are 2 groups. One group speaks doom over the people. The other group speaks life into the people... Which group do you want to be a part of? ... the group that speaks doom wants you to believe that the group speaking life is the “miserable” group.'

The third post was aimed at whoever has been coming for her. Instead of looking inward to figure out why strong spiritual signatures keep leaving them, she wrote, the group launches constant attacks on truth tellers who moved on a long time ago. Then she closed with the line that has been getting the most traction: if they could just “destroy the mirrors,” maybe they would never have to see themselves.
None of the Nicki Minaj tweets say who the group is. Trump, Musk and Nicki are the only three people named across all three posts. Everything else is left open, which is a big part of why the thread has been read a dozen different ways since it went up. Some people are reading it as a shot at Democrats and the broader left, since that is where most of the backlash to her political turn has come from. Others are reading it as industry talk aimed at the artists, executives and media figures who have distanced themselves from her. She has not clarified either way.

Tweet by Nicki Minaj (@NICKIMINAJ) with X.com logo: "Instead of the group looking inward to dissect why strong spiritual signatures are fleeing from them, they launch constant attacks on the truth tellers who have long moved on. If they could just destroy the mirrors, then maybe, just maybe, they won’t have to ever see themselves."

The context around the posts is not subtle. Minaj spent the last several months moving all the way into Trump’s orbit. She first went public with her support in a big way at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest in Phoenix, appearing alongside the group’s CEO Erika Kirk. In January, she joined Trump on stage at a Treasury Department summit in Washington and told the room she was probably his number one fan, that the hate did not affect her, and that it only motivated her to support him more. She also went after California Governor Gavin Newsom from that same stage. On August 31, she posted about the Trump administration’s small business initiative and called it a major key. Before all of that, in late 2025, she thanked Trump for designating Nigeria a country of particular concern over attacks on Christians there, a formal government label for countries the State Department says are committing serious violations of religious freedom.
