Lil Fizz sat down on Cam Newton’s “Funky Friday” podcast to discuss his past actions regarding his former groupmate, Omarion.
During the conversation, Fizz addressed the controversy surrounding his past relationship with the mother of Omarion’s children and emphasized his desire to take full responsibility for the fallout.
“I just want to take accountability for everything that happened,” Fizz stated. He told Newton that despite how the situation played out publicly, he never intended to cause Omarion pain. I never wanted to hurt Omarion. That was never my intention.”
Fizz revealed that a private reconciliation took place during a performance in Los Angeles, where he was able to address the situation directly.
“We had a moment on stage in LA where I got to apologize to him face to face,” he said. During that interaction, Fizz explicitly apologized for his involvement with Omarion’s ex. “I told him I was sorry for what went down with his baby mama. I owned up to it. It was a real conversation.”
The conversation highlights a shift in Fizz’s perspective since the height of the drama. He noted that he has matured and is focused on leaving the conflict in the past. “I’ve grown since then and I just want to move forward in a positive way,” he explained.
While the road to reconciliation for B2K has been rocky, this step toward accountability might be the closure everyone involved, and the fans, needed to finally move on.
