A violent parody video depicting a graphic massacre on a number of news media outlets, political opponents and critics of Trump, was shown at a conference for his supporters at his Miami Resort last week, according to The New York Times.
The video was allegedly played during a 3-day conference at the Trump National Doral Miami, which was held by American Priority, a pro-Trump group. A number of Trump’s supporters and family, were scheduled to speak at the conference, including his son Donald Trump Jr., his former spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis. However, Sanders says that they did not see the video at the conference.
The video shows Trump going on a fake gruesome rampage, as he lights Sen. Bernie Sanders’ head on fire and kills people whose faces are replaced with news organization logos. He also targets former President Barack Obama, Black Lives Matter, comedian Kathy Griffin, Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters, and Bill and Hillary Clinton, to name just a few.
Donald Trump, who was not in attendance, says that he, “strongly condemns” the video, although he also claims he has yet to watch it.
American Priority released a statement on its website regarding what they call the, “unauthorized video,” saying, “The organizers of #AMPFest19 were not even aware of the video until they were contacted by the NYT.” The statement continued, “#AMPFest19 always has and will condemn political violence.”
The graphic video was reportedly made by the YouTube account, “TheGeekzTeam,” according to Business Insider. The account reportedly creates content for a website run by a man who goes by “CarpeDonktum.” The news outlet reports that Trump invited CarpeDonktum to his July White House “social media summit,” and hosted his family in the Oval Office for a private “meet and greet” and photo opp.
