Jennifer Hudson has confirmed that she is “very happy” in her new relationship with Common.
On Monday, she told Gayle King on CBS Mornings, “I am very happy, yes, ma’am,” adding that her relationship status is “more sophisticated than boo’ed up.”
When asked if her relationship with the rapper was an “entanglement,” she denied it.
“It’s definitely not an entanglement, that’s for sure,” she said.
Rumors of the two dating have been circulating since they were spotted together in Philadelphia and their hometown, Chicago, in February 2022.
Shortly after, it was announced that they were both starring together in the upcoming film “Breathe.”
Earlier this year, Hudson kept their relationship tight-lipped when she told TMZ, “Rumors say a lot of things.”
She added, “But he’s a beautiful man; I will give you that.”
Common also kept their relationship on the hush-hush.
In June, he told the Today show, “I’ve always been inspired by her.” Adding that, “She’s one of the most beautiful people I ever met on the planet. Incredible heart, and she’s just dope, man.”
Over the years, Common has been linked to a number of Hollywood women like Erykah Badu, Serena Williams, Taraji P. Henson, and Tiffany Haddish, whom he split from in November 2021.
