Moneybagg Yo is his bagg, literally, thanks to his latest cannabis partnership.
The Memphis rapper has teamed up with GUMBO Brands, a Black-owned cannabis and lifestyle company, and is gearing up to release his own rolling papers.
“I felt at home from day 1,” Moneybagg Yo said when asked about his collaboration with the cannabis brand. “The whole Gumbo team is family. We locked in. It’s up.”
While the revolutionary brand may be considered a “new kid on the block” in the green rush, they’re no stranger to making bold statements.
Earlier this month, the Gumbo Brands team held an exclusive dinner at Miami Beach restaurant Playa to announce their partnership with the CMG artist. While there, Bagg was also presented with “The Emperor,” a 90-carat, custom Pristine Jewelers timepiece — one of eighteen in the world. In addition to the watch, the “Said Sum” artist was also presented with a diamond GUMBO pendant and necklace totaling 150 carats in celebration of the collab.
The star-studded affair was also attended by Yung Miami, Amber Rose, and NORE.
Founded by Karim’ Luca’ Butler and Alexis Major, GUMBO has already received co-signs from media platforms like Drink Champs and top celebrities such as Meek Mill, Lil Meech, NORE, Takeoff, Dave East, and Fabolous.
