Baller Alert has covered the Lil Durk case from the arrest through the verdict. This page brings it all together in one place: where the case stands right now, the key dates and every story we have published along the way.

Where the Lil Durk Case Stands Now

  • Verdict: On Sept. 11, 2026, a Los Angeles jury of seven women and five men found Durk, whose legal name is Durk Banks, not guilty on all five federal counts after three days of deliberations.
  • Still in custody: Durk has been held since his arrest in the Miami area in October 2024. Judges turned down several earlier bond requests.
  • Bond hearing: Set for Nov. 4, 2026, before U.S. District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald.
  • Second trial: The racketeering case, built on a VICAR charge (violent crimes in aid of racketeering), was moved from Oct. 5, 2026, to Aug. 30, 2027, at the defense’s request. Durk has pleaded not guilty.
  • Co-defendants: Deandre “OTF Dede” Wilson and David “Browneyez” Lindsey were cleared of murder for hire but convicted of three stalking charges. Both are asking for an acquittal or a new trial, and Lindsey’s motion is set for an Oct. 28 hearing.

What the Case Is About

Federal prosecutors accused Durk of financing and directing an August 2022 ambush at a gas station near the Beverly Center in Los Angeles. They said the target was Atlanta rapper Quando Rondo and that the motive was revenge for the 2020 killing of King Von, Durk’s close friend and Only The Family artist. Quando Rondo survived. His 24 year old cousin, Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, was killed.

Durk’s defense, led by Brian Steel and Drew Findling, argued that former assistant Kavon Grant was the real mastermind and that the government’s cooperating witnesses were admitted shooters trying to avoid life sentences. The jury sided with the defense on every count.
